We are located at 103 Salt Flat Rd, Bayside, TX 78340 — on the shores of Copano Bay on the Texas Gulf Coast. We are approximately 25 miles north of Rockport and about 30 miles from Corpus Christi.

Yes. Down By The Bay RV Resort sits directly on Copano Bay. Several of our Premium Waterfront pads have an unobstructed bay view right outside your RV door. This is not a park that is 'near' the water — it is on the water.

How far is the resort from Corpus Christi?

We are approximately 30 miles north of Corpus Christi — about a 35-40 minute drive via TX-35. Close enough for day trips, far enough to enjoy true coastal peace and quiet.

Yes. A public boat dock and launch ramp on Copano Bay is less than 1 mile from the park. You can launch your boat and be on the water in minutes.

Rockport is approximately 20 minutes away and has full grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, and hardware stores. Aransas Pass and Portland are also within easy driving distance.

Yes. Short-term guests pay a refundable deposit of $50 (nightly) or $100 (weekly). Monthly residents pay a deposit equal to 50% of one month's rent, which is fully refundable upon move-out in good standing.

All sites offer 20/30/50-amp electrical service, so your rig can run on the service it requires — from small pop-ups to large Class A coaches. We do not currently have dedicated EV charging stations, but 50-amp service is compatible with most EV adapters.

Yes. High-speed Starlink satellite WiFi is included free for all guests — nightly, weekly, and monthly. Starlink delivers fast, low-latency internet that is reliable for remote work, video calls, streaming, and gaming. It performs significantly better than typical campground WiFi.

Yes, pets are welcome at Down By The Bay RV Resort. All pets must be kept on a leash in common areas and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals.
